Elders from Hargeisa visited this morning Borama city were ongoing violence leaves 20+ people.
The violence intensified when Somaliland military mobilised to the city and same video footage show live shooting unarmed civilians.
The elders call calm ceasefire and protect lives and properties.
Violence erupted after part of the community announced launching book called (XEER-CIISE) in Saila city, but others reject the book.
On other hand The Federal Government of Somalia’s ministry of Interior calls residents to calm and obey the law.
It also suggested Intellectuals and elders to address this issue peacefully.
Somaliland president Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro sent condolences to the families of victims and also asked the people to restore stability.
