At least four members of Former Southwest State administration forced have been killed and three others captured a live after they attack this morning on Baidoa city.
The Somali National Army alongside the local forces thwarted the morning attack from Laftagaren’s militias in Baidoa.
The attackers in entered part of the city before they wre retreated after fierce battle from allied forces.
The Federal force displayed armoured vehicles ran away from Laftagaren’s militias.
Today’s attack occurred as the new parliamentarians were about to be sworn in today in Baidoa to elect the new Southwest leader on 10th of June 2026.
Laftagaren still claims he is the legitimate President of the Southwest administration but Federal force alongside local militias ousted him on 30th March 2026.
The city’s situation is currently calm and residents began movement for their daily plan.
