Turkiye’s Military Might Expands Across Africa and the Middle East

Share

Turkiye is rapidly asserting itself as a regional power, projecting military strength far beyond its borders. In Somalia, Ankara has deployed F-16 fighter jets, tanks, drones, and advanced arms to support the government against Al-Shabaab.

In Libya, Turkiye’s drones and weapons have shifted the battlefield in favour of the internationally recognized government, while in Sudan, Ankara is supplying arms to support government forces against RSF militias.

Beyond Africa, Turkiye conducts counter terrorism operations in Syria and Iraq and provides military backing to Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus. Its growing presence in the Eastern Mediterranean underscores Ankara’s strategic ambitions, as its advanced drones, jets, and precision weapons reshape regional conflicts.

From Africa to the Middle East and the Caucasus, Turkiye is emerging as a formidable military power capable of influencing battles and alliances across multiple regions.
