The Amhara Fano National Movement (AFNM) captured 520 government combatants today during a coordinated offensive across Ethiopia’s Amhara region.
The FANO mallitias Launched as a memorial for Major General Wubante Abate, the offensive targeted the Minilik, Belay, and Gondar General Province commands.
AFNM forces secured the town of Nefas Mewcha while neutralising tactical assets of the 206th Corps in the Chela Meda and Amba Mariam corridors.

520 government-aligned combatants detained — including 320 riot control officers and seven Prosperity Party officials.
251 fatalities recorded in the North Amhara sector alone.
1,104 AK-47 assault rifles and 65 SVD sniper rifles seized.
44 vehicles captured — including 15 patrol pickups and one FSR logistics truck.
131,248 rounds of ammunition and 64 tactical communication units recovered.
