Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated that Ethiopia is currently a home and shelter for 400 thousand Eritrean refugees.
They said our country is a home for 1.3 million immigrants including the Eritreans.
They have made us realize that if we can build our country with its roots, we can not only be an example for our citizens but also others.
He mentioned that Ethiopia is ranked second in the population in Africa and 10th in the world. He explained that this large population and wide skin area will be the beginning of a big change if it is guided by proper planning and effort.
As the prime minister stated, if the natural resources and amazing creative ideas in Ethiopia are supported with a little effort, a big national change can be brought.
In the future, if we have a vision for the next 10 and 15 years, we can make Ethiopia a unique place for many and a safe place for many.
Ethiopia has stated that it is not only a world wide receiver, it is a country with the ability and capacity to contribute to the international community.
They have emphasized that we should work together and cooperate to build an Ethiopia that is comfortable for its citizens and saves for its neighbors.
The United Nations High Commission on Refugees has testified several times that Ethiopia is doing an exemplary and admirable work in handling refugees.
