Somalia and Sudan have signed a mutual visa exemption agreement

The Federal Republic of Somalia and the Republic of Sudan have signed a mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic passports, marking a key step in strengthening bilateral relations and facilitating closer diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

The agreement was concluded on 2 April during the second session of the Somalia-Sudan Political Consultation Committee, co-chaired by H.E. Hamza Adan Haadow, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and H.E. Ambassador Muawiya Osman Khalid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan.

The discussions focused on advancing cooperation across political, economic, educational, and capacity-building sectors, alongside enhanced coordination on regional and international issues.
