Banadir Regional Administration and Mogadishu municipality Officials orders businesses to accept Somali shilling after fierce reaction from the public.
Hassan Mohamed Hussein Mungab the Mayor of Mogadishu also ordered its Taxation authority to collect its revenue from the city to Somali shillings, halting Mobile money and dollar Taxation.
Recent days Mogadishu residents faced uncertainty after businesses refuse taking the only one thousand Somalj shilling available only in southern regions.
Also the mayor warns businesses, Public Services vehicles, restaurants and other businesses rejecting the thousand shilling, if they refuse they will face legal consequences, said the Officials.
