Somalia’s Ministry of Defence announced that the hijacked cargo ship MV LATUF was rescued in a joint operation by the Turkish Navy and the Somali Armed Forces.
During the 10-day operation, four boats used by the pirates were destroyed and 14 pirates were killed. The vessel safely resumed its voyage.
