Three children from Mandera who went missing six months ago after allegedly being abducted by unknown individuals have been found safe and reunited with their family.
The children, Zuneyra Noor Adan, 9, Abdullahi Noor Adan, 6, and Abdirahman Noor Adan, 4, reportedly disappeared after leaving Madarasa Albayan in Mandera Town, where they were allegedly taken away in a taxi.
After months of investigations and efforts to establish their whereabouts, the children were traced to Baidoa, Somalia, where they had reportedly been taken and kept illegally.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and other Kenyan security agencies took up the matter and worked to secure the children’s safe return to Kenya.
The three children have now been safely brought back home and reunited with their family, bringing immense relief after six months of uncertainty and anguish.
The family has expressed gratitude to the Government of Kenya, the security and investigative agencies, and everyone who supported efforts to locate and bring the children back home safely.
