Reliable security sources have reported that an airstrike carried out yesterday afternoon in an area between Waraha Dhoobleey and Buale targeted Mohamed Sahal Iidle, head of Al Shabaab’s Drought Committee and the Martyrs’ Office, along with Abdifatah Buule, a senior figure within Jabha forces who had previously worked in the group’s central da’wah office.
According to the information, the two men were traveling together when they were struck by two missiles fired from unmanned aerial vehicles.
It is noteworthy that Mohamed Sahal Iidle was among the senior Al Shabaab figures placed by the Somali government on its financial sanctions list targeting the group’s top leadership
