Our Oruç Reis seismic research vessel conducted research activities in Somali maritime areas for nine months.
These studies, conducted in an area of ​​4,465 square kilometers, marked a first in the country’s history.
We plan to begin drilling operations in 2026. These activities will make significant contributions to the well-being of the Somali people.
We are realizing a historic cooperation with the Republic of Somalia in the field of space.
Within the framework of the agreements we have signed, we envision establishing a spaceport in Somalia.
We have completed the design of the first phase of the three-phase project and have begun its construction through the Turkish Space Agency.
With this project, we aim to create a significant infrastructure in the fields of space, launch, and satellite technologies.
While implementing all these projects, we continue to support Somalia with our relevant organizations, primarily the Turkish Red Crescent, TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency), and AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency).
The preservation of Somalia’s unity and integrity under all circumstances is a priority for us. Israel’s decision to recognize Somaliland is illegitimate and unacceptable.
The Netanyahu government, which has the blood of 71,000 of our Palestinian brothers and sisters on its hands, is now trying to destabilize the Horn of Africa after its attacks on Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Qatar, and Syria.
In this process, we will continue to resolutely support Somalia’s territorial integrity and political unity and stand by the Somali people.
