Ethiopia and America have consulted on issues that can be done to ensure peace and stability in the Horn of Africa.
A delegation led by America’s Africa Commander General Dagvin R M Anderson has discussed with the FDRE Army General Field Marshal Birhanu Jula.
In the discussion, it was pointed out that the countries of the region should work in cooperation to create peace and stability in the Horn of Africa.
Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, who mentioned that two countries have been working together for many years in different fields including military, said Ethiopia is playing a major role in fighting terrorism.
The military forces who explained that Ethiopia needs a sea gate is to build its economy and peace.
Field Marshal Birhanu Jula explained to the delegation that the military relationship with America will continue to be strengthened.
As stated by Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, Ethiopia will continue to strengthen its forceful measures to weaken Al-Shabab and to expose its terrorist plan.
America’s Africa Commandant General Dagvin R M Anderson who appreciated the role Ethiopia is playing in maintaining peace in the region said we will continue our work to fight terrorism together.
America’s Africa Commander who said that they support Ethiopia’s way to get a sea gate peacefully said that they believe Ethiopia will work more for the peace of the region if it crosses the Red Sea.
They also mentioned that they will talk to Washington DC authorities about the interests of Ethiopia and the plans they have to ensure peace in the region.
