The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag, who is on an official visit to Burkina Faso, held a private meeting tonight with the leader of the Government of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
During the meeting, the Minister delivered an official message from the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The Minister stated that his visit is part of Somalia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation, particularly in the areas of security and the fight against terrorism.
Minister Fartaag noted that Burkina Faso and Somalia share similar challenges regarding terrorism.
Consequently, he emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation, specifically in, Counter-terrorism operations, Personnel training, Intelligence sharing and Collaboration between security agencies
