The Federal Republic of Somalia condemns Colombia’s recognition of Israeli claim over sovereignty of Golan Heights.
Any such recognition is null and void and violates international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Golan Heights constitutes occupied Syrian territory.
Somalia supports the resolution of the Israeli-Syrian dispute through dialogue and adherence to relevant UN resolutions, which affirm Syria’s right to full restoration of its occupied territory to the 1967 borders.
Somalia calls on all states, including Colombia, to uphold international law, respect territorial integrity, and reject recognition of occupied territories.
