President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, fired shots from a pistol to celebrate the groundbreaking of the National Defense Command Center (MMUT) in the capital, Dodoma, on Tuesday.
As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Samia Suluhu handed over the keys to the new construction site to the Minister of Defense and National Service, Dr. Rhimo Simeon Nyansaho.
Those criticised her say that she is dictator not willing to handover power in peaceful manner.
She was reelected late last year, after disputed elections, observers said more than 2,000 civilians were killed by the police, the victims were protesting to reject results.
