Ministry of Fishing and Blue Economy of the Federal Government of Somalia and Turkey’s OYAK signed this multiple points agreement .
A strategic partnership has been signed between Turkey’s OYAK and Somalia’s Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy covering the following areas:
Combating illegal fishing,Upgrading port and fish processing infrastructure,Boosting sustainable fish exports and Creating thousands of new jobs for Somali youth.
Once the necessary infrastructure is in place by 2028, the new partnership is projected to net Somalia $4.5 billion/year in revenue from fish and fish products.
Turkey already won several big agreements Somalia sin 2014.
It manages Mogadishu Seaport and also the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Turkey Agencies also supports Somalia’s Humanitarian activities, Education, Health and infrastructure.
