The Turkish Defense Minister has announced the establishment of a new Air Task Command in Somalia.
This command comprises a fleet of helicopters, utility aircraft, and fighter jets.
During an Annual Evaluation Meeting with the Turkish Parliament, Minister Güler stated that this initiative represents a strategic element of the ongoing defense cooperation between Turkey and Somalia.
The objective is to enhance the training, security, and operational capabilities of the Somali Armed Forces.
Turkey now running it is biggest military base outside it’s borders in Somalia called TURKSOM, also constructing Spaceport near Equator in Somalia.
