Ugandan Government has announced that it decided to leave the AUSSOM mission in Somalia.
Uganda’s army chief and the son of president Museveni said that after 19 years, Uganda intends to withdraw Somalia.
The controversial Son wrote a post on his X account.
Uganda was the first country to contribute its troops then AMISOM mission in Somalia back to March 2007, other countries Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti joined later.
The mission failed to achieve it’s goals changing it’s name from AMISOM, ATMIS to AUSSOM.
