AUSSOM Sector II Commander, Brig. Gen. Edward Banda, welcomed a delegation from UNSOS on Tuesday to review coordination and ongoing support for AUSSOM operations in the sector.
Led by UNSOS Chief Life Support Officer, Babacar Diop, the delegation reaffirmed UNSOS’ commitment to achieving lasting peace and stability in Somalia.
Brig. Gen. Banda thanked UNSOS for its consistent support, highlighting the partnership’s importance in delivering the mission mandate.
The meeting was also attended by other UN Staff including Ms. Richard Manon, Lt. Col. D. Mwangi, Lt. Col. K. Mrisa & Maj. M. Masese.
