AUSSOM UPDF troops, in partnership with Bancroft, donated food and medical supplies to the Bulomarer community as part of ongoing Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) efforts aimed at strengthening relations with local populations.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Sector One Deputy Contingent Commander, Col. Francis Obita Aragamoi emphasised that supporting community welfare extends beyond core peacekeeping mandates and remains central to UPDF’s mission in Somalia.
Bancroft Operations Manager, Mr. Rocky Van Blerke, reaffirmed continued partnership with UPDF in delivering health and food assistance, highlighting their shared commitment to the wellbeing of local communities.
Bulomarere District Commissioner Mahiyadin Khalif expressed gratitude for the timely support, noting that the area faces severe food insecurity due to prolonged drought.
