Share

Zambia’s Health Minister, Elijah Muchima, has announced that the recent cholera outbreak in the country has been successfully brought under control, with no active cases currently reported, according to local media.

Since the first case emerged in September 2025, Zambia recorded a total of 612 cases and nine deaths.

Muchima confirmed that no new infections have been detected in the past 24 hours, and ongoing surveillance indicates that the outbreak has now been fully contained.

He credited the outcome to coordinated efforts across multiple government ministries and health institutions, highlighting the critical role of collaboration in managing public health crises.
