Rwanda hosts EAC Confederation Constitution discussions

the EAC Constitution Experts continued the national consultations on Drafting the Constitution for the East African Political Confederation by engaging Civil Society Organisations, Special Interest Groups (Youth, Women and Persons with Disabilities), Religious Organisations, National Think Tanks, and Academia in Rwanda.

The consultations are providing stakeholders with an opportunity to review the Draft Constitution and contribute their views towards shaping the future East African Political Confederation.

When all stakeholders satisfy this Constitution it will be the political Confederation Constitution of East African Community.

Currently Eight Countries are members of the bloc, their objective is to have one Constitution, One Monitory and one passport.

They are Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, DRC Congo, South Sudan,Burundi and Somalia.

The eight member bloc is now on course as European Union and targeting other East African Nations to join.
